Gold filled is much higher in quality and durability than gold plated or vermeil. Gold plated and vermeil will tarnish over time and sometimes quite easily depending on the layer of gold. Gold filled will usually last a lifetime and wears like solid gold; its actually really difficult to tell the difference! I personally prefer gold filled simply because of the price!

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR EARRINGS:
While gold filled jewelry can last a lifetime, it can tarnish if not well taken care of and if exposed to certain chemicals and conditions.
*Don’t wear in pool or hut tub
(chemicals and humidity= not good)
*Be mindful of sweat
(if you’re going to be sweating a lot due to working out for example, maybe opt for leaving your jewelry at home)
*Keep away from perfumes, lotions & harsh chemicals.
CLEANING-
Polish with soft cloth after wear
Rinse with lukewarm water and mild soap
STORAGE-
Store in a cool, dry place in something that is airtight to prevent airflow and chemical reactions/oxidation.
